Bridget's birthday bash: Vote for the High School Girls Hockey Player of the Week

Norwell/Scituate/Abington's Calli Pineau has been voted the High School Girls Hockey Player of the Week.

The senior received over 6,600 votes to earn the honor. She earned the honor after exploding for three goals and three assists in a 9-3 win over Quincy/North Quincy.

And this week's candidates are...

Zoey Madigan + Addy Harrington, Duxbury: Madigan and Harrington each had two-goal games in a 7-2 win over Archbishop Williams.

Eva Surette + Bridget Walsh, Braintree: After playing to a 0-0 tie in the Tenney Cup, the Wamps prevailed in a shootout. Surette recorded the shutout while Walsh, who was. celebrating her 16th birthday, scoring the winning goal in the shootout.

Calli Pineau, Sr., Norwell/Scituate/Abington: Pineau has had a torrid start to the season, scoring nine goals and 15 points through her team's first five games. She had two goals and an assist in a 4-1 win over Martha's Vineyard.

Caitlin Dilley, Sr., Whitman-Hanson/Silver Lake: Dilley scored the winning goal 46 seconds into overtime to lift WHSL to a 2-1 win over Weymouth.

Madelyn Glynn, Algonquin: The AMSA sophomore Glynn scored for the Titans co-op in a 5-2 loss in the Medway/Ashland Invitational final to King Philip at the Blackstone Valley IcePlex in Hopedale. The day prior, Glynn scored two goals in a 4-0 win over Natick.

Sophia Luoni, Fr., Natick: Luoni posted her third shutout of the season, collecting 21 saves, as Natick (6-2) blanked Bishop Stang, 2-0. She also backstopped a 2-1 win over Medway/Ashland.
