How to get your MBTA train tickets for Bruce Springsteen’s Gillette Stadium concerts
Are you going to see Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band perform at Gillette Stadium later this month? Here's what you need to know about getting there by train.
Roundtrip tickets for the special event train to Gillette Stadium for the Springsteen show on Aug. 24 and 26 will go on sale at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 10.
There will only be service from Boston to the Foxboro stadium for the Thursday, Aug. 24 show. Service from both Boston and Providence to Foxboro Station will be provided by the MBTA Commuter Rail on Saturday, Aug. 26.
Fans still have the opportunity to purchase tickets for the Aug. 26 show, with tickets available at Ticketmaster.com.
How much do the MBTA tickets for the Springsteen show cost?
Regular Commuter Rail tickets and passes cannot be used for the special event trains.
Roundtrip special event train tickets are $20 and will be available exclusively through the mTicket app. All passengers must have a ticket to board the event train.
Ticket sales for the special event trains will stop once the maximum capacity is reached.

When does the MBTA special commuter rail train from Boston leave for Gillette Stadium?
The Boston route of the special event train will leave South Station on Thursday, Aug. 24 and on Saturday, Aug. 26 at 5:15 p.m., make stops at Back Bay (leaving at 5:20 p.m.), and Dedham Corporate Center (leaving at 5:40 p.m.) before arriving at Foxboro Station at 6:15 p.m.
When does the MBTA special commuter rail train from Providence leave for Gillette Stadium?
The Providence route of the special event train will leave Providence Station on Aug. 26 only at 5:20 p.m. and make stops at Pawtucket/Central Falls (departing at 5:26 p.m.), Attleboro (departing at 5:40 p.m.) and Mansfield (departing at 5:50 p.m.) before arriving at Foxboro Station at 6:30 p.m.
Each special event train is projected to arrive in Foxborough approximately one hour before each concert starts.
When does the train leave Gillette Stadium?
The special event trains will leave Foxboro Station 30 minutes after the concert ends.
What to know about Gillette Stadium special event train tickets
- This is a special event train and ticket sales will be stopped once the maximum capacity is reached.
- Any prohibited items that do not comply with the stadium’s Clear Bag Policy will not be permitted on the train and no personal items may be left on the train during the concerts.
- Due to anticipated high demand, no refunds or exchanges will be available.

Difference between the Gillette Stadium special event train and the MBTA Commuter Rail to Foxboro Station
- Guests choosing to travel to Gillette Stadium for the Thursday, Aug. 24, show via the Foxboro Station weekday Commuter Rail service will not be able to return to Boston following the conclusion of the concert via the special event train without purchasing a corresponding special event train ticket.
- The last Foxboro Station weekday Commuter Rail train departs for Boston at 10:20 p.m., while the special event train will depart 30 minutes following the conclusion of the concert.
- Tickets must be purchased prior to boarding the event train. All passengers, including children 11 and under, must have a ticket to board the train.
