Khalil's Kitchen

Rudy Alves, owner of Khalil's Kitchen, at 880 Main St. in Brockton, shows off some sandwiches on Tuesday, October 24,2023.

Khalil's Kitchen, located at 880 Main St., is known for its crispy loaded fried, but the owner Rudy Alves added something new to the menu: chopped cheese.

A chopped cheese is a New York-style steak and cheese sub. Alves brought the sandwich onto the menu to add more spice in Brockton due to its popularity in NYC. The restaurant has more items, including burgers, fries topped with protein, wings, smoothies and tacos, and some of the dishes feature lobster, like mac and cheese.

The restaurant also offers a bogo sale: buy one sandwich, get one free. Stop in today, taste the chopped cheese, and tell them Brockton Eats with Alisha sent you!

Cape Code Café

‘The Ando’ burger is a ½ pound certified angus beef burger served between two mini-cheese pizzas.

Cape Code Café, located at 979 Main St, Brockton, serves up a one-of-a-kind sandwich, the Ando burger, a half-pound certified Angus beef burger topped with American cheese and served between two mini-cheese pizzas.

The restaurant only sells this sandwich in its Brockton location.

It may look like high cholesterol on a sandwich, but from locals who've tried it, it is something "worth" tasting. The burger and the two small pizzas perfectly harmonize cheesy, meaty goodness. So, who needs real buns? Not locals in Brockton. We'd prefer cheese pizza.
