I am so sorry for the loss to the O'Brian family I went to school with Kathy and her mother lived across from my sister. Such a sweet person you are and will be missed

Kathy, O.B., KOB, Buck…I knew you by all these names, and I also called you, Friend. We navigated BHS double sessions together, then Bridgewater State College. You were by my side when I changed my last name from Colby, to Jordan. And you were in my heart, when my name changed from Jordan to Christensen. You were the epitome of a teacher, both by nature and profession. Maryrose, Bob and Jane, you only knew me as Linda Colby, and Kathy’s friend. I am so sorry to hear that Kathy passed away. She will always be in my heart. I just thought she’d be here, longer. Rest in Peace, Friend. Linda

I’m deeply saddened to read this news! I loved history with Miss O’Brien. From her carefully matched outfits to her sense of humor and life lessons, she was one of my most favorite teachers. What a profound impact she made on so many students over the years! I’m so glad that I had the opportunity to be in her class and then later work with her sister Maryrose at Chadwick’s Outket. My deepest condolences to her family and friends.

So sorry to hear of Kathy’s passing. She was a dear friend during our high school days and we always enjoyed a lot of laughs. She was a teacher to my younger brothers when they were in school and they always sang her praises as a teacher. I’m sure her memory will live on in all those whose lives she touched. Rest peacefully Kathy

I am so sorry to hear of Kathy's passing. She was such a kind and caring person; a great teacher who truly loved the classroom; and I smiled at the comment that she was the "best dressed", because she was! Her wardrobe was envied by many (including me)! We spent early morning duty together every day, and I enjoyed our many conversations. Kathy will be remembered by her students as "one of their favorite teachers" because of her kindness to all. I send my condolences to her entire family, and just remember how special she was!

What are your favorite memories of time spent together with Kathleen?

KOB. That’s how you signed your many notes at Brockton High. What a positive impact you made there. You were a teacher’s teacher because you taught us all we could be better. You will be missed by more students and teachers than you could ever imagine. I was one of those who stood in awe of you. Peter Twomey
